Am I a good candidate for a mini facelift?
Dr. Karlinsky-Bellini recommends the mini facelift for women and men who are struggling with mild signs of aging such as mild jawling and loose skin under the chin. If you regularly undergo non-surgical treatments such as neurotoxins (BOTOX® Cosmetic or Dysport®) and/or fillers but are wanting to take the next step with more significant and longer-lasting results, then a mini facelift may be the right surgical option for you.
If your signs of aging are more advanced, such as deeper facial folds or harsher jowls, then Dr. Karlinsky-Bellini may recommend a traditional facelift for optimal results.
What to expect during your mini facelift recovery
Recovery after a mini facelift is generally much shorter than that of a traditional facelift, and most always is done under local anesthesia. After your mini facelift, Dr. Karlinsky-Bellini will apply the necessary bandages to assist with the healing process. She will also provide you her personal cell number in case of any questions or concerns you may have.
You will begin to notice dramatic improvements to the look of your face after just a few short days. There will be some bruising and swelling, but this will gradually fade and can be concealed with makeup. We recommend taking about a week off work to ensure the best healing experience and optimal results.
